FJ Industries – adds major orders for production in Denmark

FJ Industries continues successfully and wins two new major international oriented customers within the automation and medical equipment industries.

Area Sales Manager and R&D Manager Sten Millot explains:” We are excited of becoming a supplier to these global brands and the development phase has intrigued and challenged us all. The project on hand was to further develop on their production by going from the traditional manufacturing processing to using sintered components. We are thereby reducing the component cost making our customers more competitive. These projects are both great examples of sharing expertise and adding value both ways”.

Production will take place at the FJ Industries facility in Denmark and expected to commence towards second half of 2016. These orders add to the significant growth at FJ Industries operations globally.

FJ Industries appoints International capacity as Production Manager

After eight years abroad, living in China and working at FJ Industries, German born Yorck Eberbach returns to Denmark to become Production Manager at FJ Industries.

Yorck Eberbach’s journey at FJ Industries began in 2007, when he applied for a job as Project Manager at the company’s powder metal and stamping production start-up in China. Today, more than eight years on, Yorck Eberbach has also held positions as Quality Manager and Technical Manager and recently was appointed as Production Manager at FJ Industries’ headquarter in Denmark.

The fact that there was always a continuous development going on is part of the reason Yorck Eberbach is still working at FJ Industries.

“At FJ, I have always felt the support to do things the way I think they should be done as long as our results are on target. I have been given the chance to try a lot of different things, like production setup and startup, project management, the technical department, the quality system, our supply quality and so on. You can say, there’s always something new and interesting on my plate,” Yorck Eberbach says.

So far Yorck Eberbach’s professional career has brought him the opportunity to live and work in eight different countries around the world. Different countries often mean the same things and procedures are done differently, and Yorck Eberbach surely has seen things done in many ways – and with varying results. “But I definitely also learned that people can do things in a certain way, and it still works, even if I would have done it differently. It’s a great perspective to bring on as a Production Manager,” he adds.

Bringing new impulses

As the new Production Manager, Yorck Eberbach is inspired by these differences in approaches that he has experienced throughout his career. In his own words, he has brought back some “Chinese mentality” to add to his “German roots.”

“German way of thinking is that we like to have everything organized and planned into details so that every risk higher than 0,01% is eliminated. It’s good, but it also means that sometimes things are not initiated as fast as they could have been. In China on the other hand, people tend to just get things going, and sometimes miss out on vital planning and on going back and look at what was the root cause of a failure. Of course things are not as black and white, but I believe a mix of these approaches will be beneficial, and this is what I’m trying to apply,” Yorck Eberbach continues.

FJ Industries has more than 30 years of experience in manufacturing components in powder metal, and there for the production has been run very efficiently for a long time. But as an initiating person, Yorck Eberbach is eager to find out, if there are things FJ Industries can do even more efficient when it comes to the production of components.

“I believe FJ Industries develop as a company, when we question our way of doing things; when we always strive to find the most optimal solutions. There’s always room for improvement, and we are not afraid to ask ourselves the difficult questions.”

“I admire our willingness to do, what is necessary to make our costumers happy and to actually always make things work for them. The company mind set “well, if it doesn’t work this way, then why not do it differently?” is very much like my own. I think that’s the reason why I’m still here after so many years and still wakes up every morning looking forward to go to work,” he concludes.

FJ Industries in China has doubled machining capacity in 10 weeks

Urgent demands from our customers  causes machining capacity to boom at FJ Industries in China. This represents an important step in our ambition to reach a growth of 15 percent this year, CEO at FJ Industries, Lars Wildenschild says.

It’s busy days at FJ Industries’ production plant in Ningbo, China.

Urgent increased demands from several customers means FJ Industries has doubled its machining capacity over an impressive span of less than three months.

”Due to an explosion in demand from our customers, we have doubled our machining capacity in China in about 10 weeks. Our customers are very happy and impressed by our effort and quick response to their urgent demand increases. This is proving the fact that we are compliant with our mission of being agile, flexible and effective,” CEO at FJ Industries, Lars Wildenschild says.

The massive growth is a result of demand increases within clean air technology for the automotive industry, and it contributes significantly to FJ Industries’ overall growth target of 15 percent this year.

”This successful story is only being realized through hard work, professional competence and last but not least in close corporation with and trust from our highly valued customers. With this great news we are getting closer to meet our growth target this year,” Lars Wildenschild adds.

FJ Industries breaks monthly revenue record

The month of September represents the company’s best monthly revenue since 2008. FJ Industries’ agility and flexibility are keys to the revenue record, CEO Lars Wildenschild says.

FJ Industries continues the massive growth that has characterized the company’s recent year. September turned out to be a record-breaking month in terms of revenue as a result of both new and existing customers placing significant orders.

“At FJ Industries we’re happy to announce that the month of September was the best monthly revenue, we have had since the financial crisis hit us really hard back in the late 2008. We have been growing super fast the last 12 months, and both new and existing customers have placed massive orders,” CEO of FJ Industries Lars Wildenschild says.

He points to the company’s agility and flexibility, as well as product quality, service and price, to explain the positive trends at FJ Industries.

“We have a proven record for being very competitive on both quality, service and price, and that is obviously the reason why we are very successful. We have also proven our ability to react fast, gear-up our production and supply the increasing demand from our highly valued customers,” Lars Wildenschild adds.

Annual report shows a significant increase in profit

The annual report shows a significant increase in profit compared to 2013/14.  FJ Industries’ management expects the growth trend to continue in the coming years.

FJ Industries continues to build on its strong turnaround strategy that was put in place in 2013/14. The annual report for the financial year 2014/15 shows a strengthening profit, following last years improved results.

”Our turnaround strategy has proven successful, and I’m pleased to see FJ Industries continuing a solid and stable development. This is the results of FJ Industries’ focus on creating value for our customers by being proactive and agile,” according to Lars Wildenschild, CEO of FJ Industries.

Despite the solid increase in the yearly results, FJ Industries did see a slight decrease in turnover, compared to the previous financial year, mainly due to a delay in a large project.  Looking into the future, Lars Wildenschild expects growth in both turnover and profit based on a number of significant projects that have been recently won, in addition to the number of significant orders that have been placed, as well as the forecasts from both existing and new customers.

FJ Industries expands its activities on the US market

An Atlanta based sales representative is FJ Industries first step towards expanding the company’s activities on the US market. A logical next step could be setting up a warehouse facility in The States.

FJ Industries is expanding its activities on the US market.
As of today a sales representative based in Atlanta, GA, will support and further strengthen the company’s relations and services to existing customers in The States.

But according to Sales Director Joachim Riisager this should also be seen as a strategic move to develop new customers in the US, and a next step could be setting up a warehouse facility.

“We already have several customers in the US, but we serve them from either Denmark or China where we have our biggest production sites. We need to be closer to these existing customers, and at the same time we want to explore the huge potential of developing new customers in US. In order to succeed in that we need physical presence, which we have now. A logical next step could easily be setting up a warehouse facility which would significantly shorten our delivery time to the market,” Joachim Riisager says.
