Our Chinese plant in Ningbo has passed pre audit, readiness review and the main (stage 2) Audit with a good result and is now ready to receive the TS 16949 certificate.
It will however take a few months before the certificate can be put in a frame and placed on the wall in China as headquarters in Denmark also have to pass all of the above audits and reviews – this will hopefully happen this autumn.
We are back from a sunny and refreshing summer vacation ready to service our customers with recharged human batteries. Machines are running and the brakes are released. We are ready to take your orders! 🙂
We have now taken a new Universal Robot in to use for destacking of PM parts. We have in close collaboration with Egatec A/S developed and implemented the new mobile robot unit.
The robot unit is easy to move from one production cell to another and is very flexible and easy to program. The mobile robot unit is very reliable and we have both the robot supplier and the general contractor within 20 KM from our Danish plant.
Increasing the degree of automation in our production is one of the key factors to keep being competitive in an already very competitive landscape.
The overall result of the fair is fewer visitors than expected, the visits were however quite interesting business opportunities which we are looking forward to investigate further in the near future.

One of the leading Japanese automotive tier 1 suppliers has nominated FJ Industries the supply of two investment cast and machined components which will go into serial production in 2015.
Sales Director Joachim Riisager explains “When the offer from our company was found to be attractive by the Japanese company back in the summer of 2013 an extensive audit process of approving FJ as supplier was started. This process was successful and shortly after approval by the Japanese auditors things moved very fast and final agreement on the project was reached in Q2 2014”.
Although this new cooperation is between a Danish and a Japanese company the production will take place at FJ’s plant in China and delivery of the products will be in Southern Europe.
When fully implemented this project will reach around 60,000 pcs. per year.
FJ Industries A/S is now following up on the great success we had on the Hannover fair in April, by participating on SUBCON Birmingham from 3. – 5. June, 2014 for the first time ever. We have recently seen quite some potential and growth on the UK market especially in the automotive segment.
FJ Industries A/S has invested in a new easy recognizable booth that will be used on the coming fairs SUBCON (Birmingham), MIDEST (Paris) and ELMIA (Jönköping). As usual we will continue with our well-known and bigger booth as our flagship on the Hanover fair.
On our newly designed booth it will be possible for our visitors to experience our production technologies on TV-screens and iPads, describing the processes in Powder metal parts, investment cast parts, stamping and machining. Last but not least our visitors will be able to see, feel and touch a variety of our parts.
