Ensuring Danish Quality at a Competitive Price.

In a global economy, companies seek opportunities to maximize the end value for their customers. At FJ Industries, we have combined some of the most important factors that play a role when a company chooses subcontractors. In 2007, the doors to our production in China were opened, and since then, the casting and machining department has gained momentum.

For the past several decades, China has been a rapidly advancing manufacturing country, driven by cost-effectiveness and increased production capacity. However, productions based in China have also introduced a greater level of uncertainty for companies based in Europe. Factors such as:

  • Language barriers
  • Quality control and production standards, given the potential differences in quality levels and standards between production in Europe and China
  • Delivery reliability, as goods need to be transported from the other side of the world
  • Policies are also a contributing factor. Different continents and countries have varying trade policies, making choosing a subcontractor from Europe potentially more secure

Danish Quality – Chinese Pricing

The synergy between price and quality is something we take pride in. The strict Danish quality requirements we uphold in our production in Denmark are also an integral part of the production in China. Since 2015, all 3 of our production plants have been IATF 16949 certified. This provides a quality assurance, that ensures the mindset and mentality behind the production of cast and machined components remain consistent, regardless of the country of production, while keeping costs down due to lower Chinese prices. This optimized part of our supply chain reduces waiting times and enhances efficiency. For our customers, this ensures timely delivery of products without compromising on quality. Stringent quality controls have been implemented at every stage of production, and all components are delivered directly to the company in Denmark before being forwarded to the customer. In Denmark, regular sample inspections have been introduced to continuously develop and improve our production.

European Security Among Like-Minded Partners

Cultural similarity also plays a significant role in a company’s collaboration with its subcontractors. When companies operate within the same time zones and use the same communication tools, it reduces the communicative and collaborative frictions that can arise from different time zones and language barriers. At FJ Industries, we have ensured seamless communication and collaboration, as all communication takes place from Denmark. Our employees communicate in Danish, English, and German, ensuring clear and effective dialogue.
